Wow! A big thank you to Tanya G. of Sydney, Australia, for sending me this wonderful picture of her beautiful girls holding her special, Shavuot-inspired Luchos Challah! Yes, folks, those are Challahs! These are incredibly creative and beautifully done. Tanya also asked me to remind my readers that tonight is Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan, and an auspicious time to say a special tefillah written by the Shelah, for raising childen. Here is the Parent's Prayer in both Hebrew and English.
Please feel free to send in pictures and description of your Shavuos creations. Here are a few posts from last year to help jumpstart your YomTov cooking:
- My recipe for Rhodes dough Shavuot pizza sandwiches, guest-posted on their blog
- Honey-mustard salmon recipe
- Sweet and sour salmon recipe
Finally, here's my friend Chaya S.'s recipe for Easy Blintzes Souffle:
- 2 pkgs. frozen blintzes (12)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla

ReplyDeleteThank you Anonymous. This link is much better in that 1) it also has the English and 2) it doesn't have sheymos. I'm going to update my link.
