I've been looking for these for I-don't-know-how-long. Get these stainless steel vegetable (and fruit) cutters for $3.87 with free shipping from Amazon.
Until now, I've been using cookie cutters to make fancy fruits and veggie platters, but they are always too short and flimsy to do the trick, and I end up with more produce in my "massacred" pile than in my "pretty-enough-to-put-out pile." I've been looking for cutters that were long and strong enough to stamp out shapes in fruits and vegetables, and the only ones I could find cost a small fortune in gourmet shops and websites. (And for you Moms out there, just a little hint: you're much more likely to get your little kids to eat the carrots in their soup if they are shaped like flowers, yes?)
I can't wait to get these (hope they arrive before Shavuot...I actually bought one set at the slightly higher Prime price of $4.35 to get the two-day shipping). They are dishwasher safe. For the ridiculously low price of $3.87, I bought a second set for Pesach as well. If you purchase these, please send me pictures of your veggie and fruit creations, and I'll happily post them!
