Amazon has got the Contour ROAM2 Waterproof Video Camera in black for $98.90 with free shipping (just 20 cents higher than the lowest recorded Amazon price of $98.70; I figured, close enough!). It received 4.2 out of 5 stars over 262 customer reviews (out of which 211 were 4 and 5 stars). It is a great lower-priced alternative to the GoPro, at least $30 less expensive than the GoPro's least expensive model, and I urge you to at least scan some of the reviews which compare the two.
Make sure you buy the black one, as the other colors are priced higher.
