Update: Kosher chocolate Monopoly and Candyland, just under $10, and more information on other chocolate games (for Shalach Manos!)

I just got my "chocolate games" order from Amazon, and I'm so excited, because they look even better in person than they do online!  They are a little smaller than I imagined, but they do look like real games.  They are shrink-wrapped and each came with a hechsher on the back of the box (OK-dairy).  These are going to make awesome Mishloach Manot when paired with another food or drink item.  I'm not going to give these out as my regular Shalach Manos; these will be more like thank-you-gifts-Mishloach-Manot to people who have been extra wonderful to us this year.  (I still plan on making my regular small, colorful, candy-filled, un-themed, generic Mishloach Manot for everyone else.)

You can still get these chocolate games for a great price on Amazon, and I'm definitely ordering some more.

This Chocolate edition of Monopoly is $8.95.  This is an Amazon Add-On item, which means that it ships for free with a $25 minimum order if you are an Amazon Prime member (and the $8.95 price counts towards that $25), or it ships for free with a $35 minimum order if you're not a Prime member.  One possible shipping scenario if you are a Prime member:  you can order three of these and your shipping will be free.  (If for some reason you need a "filler" item to get free shipping, don't forget about my favorite Amazon "filler," this box of 12 mini binder clips for 45 cents.)

This Chocolate edition of CandyLand is $9.09 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping.

When the games arrive, make sure you check the back of the box for the OK-D kashrus symbol.

Here is the update on the kashrut story on the other games.  I did call OK Labs and they said that they did certify all the chocolate Hasbro games, but that there also were non-kosher versions out there as well, which is why it's so important to look for a hechsher (kosher symbol) on the back of the box.  While MonopolyCandyLand and Scrabble each have "kosher certified" in their description on Amazon, the other games do not, so if the boxes arrive without a hechsher, you won't really a good enough reason to return them, and you will probably be responsible for the return shipping.

So here are the other Chocolate Hasbro games that might or might not be under the kosher supervision of the OK.  Caveat Emptor.  I actually think these are all kind of expensive anyway, and I'm sticking with the Monopoly and CandyLand.
