"Look Like Real" disposable tableware for less than Amazing Savings prices! 50-piece set for $15.37, 200-count Reflections flatware for $4.79 and more on Amazon

I am always on the hunt for the "looks-like-real" disposable tableware sets.  I use them almost exclusively over Sukkot and Pesach (and if I'm being honest, I also use them when I'm feeling lazy).  I know my friends have used these for various simchas that they've made.  They are a major step up from regular plastic and paper tableware, but after use, they can go right in the trash.

Until now, the least expensive place to buy these sets has always been Amazing Savings, a small chain of discount stores on the East Coast, that sadly, don't sell anything online.  So I've been using their prices as a benchmark for comparison of online prices.  Here are the Amazing Savings prices for popular patterns of disposable tableware:
  • 10" very fancy design plates, 10-count for $5.99 or 60 cents per plate.
  • 10" slightly less fancy design plates, 10 count for $4.99 or 50 cents per plate
  • 7.5" very fancy design plates, 10-count for $4.99 or 50 cents per plate.
  • 7.5" slightly less fancy design plates, 10-count for $3.99 or 40 cents per plate.
  • soup bowls, 10-count for $3.99 or 40 cents per bowl
  • dessert bowls, 10-count for $2.99 or 30 cents per bowl
Please forgive the highly subjective and unscientific "very fancy" and "slightly less fancy" designations; I'm not sure how else to describe the fact that more elaborate designs are more expensive.

With very few exceptions, most of the deals on "look-like-real" tableware on Amazon are at least 20% to 30% more expensive than Amazing Savings.  For a long time, I've been resolved to hauling home these sets from Brooklyn whenever I go back to visit my family.  But I always keep checking, and happily, perseverance pays off.

Amazon has got this Table To Go 'I Can't Believe Its Plastic' 50-count Ivory Lace Plate Set for $15.37 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping.  These include 25 of the 10" plates and 25 of the 7.5" plates.

Let's do the math and compare this to Amazing Savings:  the lace design is considered a "slightly less fancy design" so these are priced at 50 cents per 10" plate and 40 cents per 7.5" plate.  If I bought this set at Amazing savings, I'd pay (25 * $0.50) + (25* $0.40) = $12.50 + $10.00 = $22.50, an additional 32%!!  (I bought 4 of these on Amazon.)

Amazon has got this Table To Go 'I Can't Believe Its Plastic' 75-count Ivory Lace Plate Set for $21.58 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping. It's basically the same set as the one above but with bowls.

If I bought this set at Amazing savings, I'd pay (25 * $0.50) + (25* $0.40) + (25* $0.40) = $12.50 + $10.00 +$10.00 = $32.50, an additional 34% over the Amazon price.  (I bought 6 of these.)

Amazon has got this Table To Go 'I Can't Believe Its Plastic' 50-count Ivory and Silver Hammered Design Plate Set for $26.42 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping.

Compare this to Amazing Savings:  the hammered edge design is considered a "very fancy design" so these are priced at 60 cents per 10" plate and 50 cents per 7.5" plate.  If I bought this set at Amazing savings, I'd pay (25 * $0.60) + (25* $0.50) = $15.00 + $12.50 = $27.50, an additional 4%.

Amazon has got this Table To Go 'I Can't Believe Its Plastic' 50-count Ivory and Silver Lace Design Plate Set for $26.48 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping.

Compared to Amazing Savings: like the hammered edge design, this is considered a "very fancy design" so the same math applies.  If I bought this set at Amazing savings, I'd pay (25 * $0.60) + (25* $0.50) = $15.00 + $12.50 = $27.50, an additional 4%.

I know that many of you like to use these "looks-like-real" plates for Shabbos dessert (as I do), so if you would like to purchase the 7.5" plates only, Amazon has a 50-count Ivory and Silver Hammered Design Plates for $17.06 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping, or 34 cents per plate, which beats the Amazing Savings price of 50 cents per plate by 12%.  (I bought 2 of these.)

All of the items mentioned above are currently out of stock, but you can order them now and lock in these incredible prices.  They will ship when these items restock.

Amazon has got this 200-count "Reflections looks-like-real" flatware (100 forks, 50 knives, 50 spoons) for $4.79  NOW up to $9.87 (still more than 40% less than the price of the 160-piece Reflections set).  This is priced significantly below the regular Reflections 160-count silverware price, and is in fact the lowest price I've ever seen on this "looks-like-real" disposable flatware.  It's a great price for even regular disposable flatware!  The quantity limit on this is 3 per account (which is what I bought).

This is an Amazon Add-On item, which means that it ships for free with a $25 minimum order if you are an Amazon Prime member (and its price of $4.79 $9.87 counts towards that $25), or it ships for free with a $49 minimum order if you're not a Prime member.  You can buy multiples of this item to help get you to your $25 or $49 minimum for free shipping.

More than ever, I urge you not to wait on ordering these if you'd like to stock-up at these fantastic prices, because once the other blogs get hold of these deals, the prices will zoom up.
