Existing or new Costco Members, renew or join now, avoid membership rate increase. New members also receive up to $20 Costco cash card

EXISTING COSTCO MEMBERS:

Remember back here when we found out about the Costco Membership fee rate hike?  That rate hike will happen on June 1, 2017. Here's one way that existing members can avoid that hike for at least one year.  Very simple:  renew now.  As long as your membership expires within 3 months, you can renew online here, assuming you have an online account, or if your membership expires within 5 months, you can renew in-store.  You are not forfeiting any months of membership by renewing in advance; your membership will be continuous.  You are just avoiding the $5.00 rate hike for Gold Star members and the $10.00 rate hike for Executive members for one renewal cycle (basically a year).

If you are planning on gifting a Costco membership to anyone (I like to buy them as shower or engagement gifts) make sure to buy a membership gift card(s) NOW, before June 1.  They never expire, and you are basically buying something now that will increase in value/cost after June 1.

NEW COSTCO MEMBERS:
