The Sound of Music holds a very special place in my heart. It was the very first movie my parents ever took me to see as a very small child. It had been out of first-run theaters for a few years, but it was still playing to packed audiences. I remember the songs, of course, but what stuck with me the most was the way the audience stood up and clapped when Von Trapp ripped the Nazi flag in two. I love this movie.
