Amazon has got this 50-count bag of Dark Chocolate Lindor Truffles for $12.49 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping. I'd already decided to make my mishloach manot a little smaller but with higher quality stuff this year, so I needed to get truffles in a large quantity. So is this a good deal? I did some truffle math. Yes, I said it. Truffle math.
A 50-count box for $12.49 comes to $0.25 per truffle. I usually get a 15-count (6 oz.) bag of Lindor truffles at Target, for $3.99, which comes to almost $0.27 per truffle. So, yessiree Bob, that 50-count bag of Dark Chocolate Lindor Truffles for $12.49 is a very decent buy.
(Amazon also has the 60-count bags for $16.99, which comes to $0.28 per truffle. Nope.)
