Dozen glass dessert bowls and stainless spoons, $1.59 to $1.85 each

My friend Devorah just begged me to find her a set of a dozen pretty glass dessert bowls for Passover for under $25.00.  Done.  And it includes dessert spoons too.

Amazon has got this 25-piece Libbey Just Desserts Mini Bowl set for $19.08 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping.  They claim it's 25 pieces, but in truth, it's a set of 12 5.3 oz.dessert dishes, 12 stainless steel spoons and a (worthless, IMHO,) recipe card.  I love the classic and simple shape of these glasses and I like the size as well.  At first, I thought that the spoons were extraneous, but in thinking about how quickly we go through silverware at giant Pesach meals, I kinda warmed up to the whole idea.  In any case, it's hard impossible to find 12 pretty matching glass dessert bowls for less than $2.00 each, so I was thrilled to find this set.  At $19.08, or $1.59 for each bowl/spoon, I think it's a steal.  And  for bonus points, Devorah has a Pesach dishwasher (so jealous!), and these are dishwasher-safe.

The second set I found are also from Libbey:  a 25-piece Just Desserts Mini Flare Glass set for $22.23 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping.  Same deal, 12 2.7 oz. glass bowls, 12 stainless steel spoons, 1 ridiculous recipe card.  This set is slightly more expensive by about $3.00, but these bowls are a little fancier, as they're in a martini glass shape; but keep in mind that they are also smaller, about half the capacity of the other bowls.  Still a good deal at $22.23, which works out to $1.85 for each bowl/spoon set.   Also dishwasher safe.

Devorah was so happy, that she bought one of each!  She's going to use one for a chametz set after Pesach.
