Costco membership plus $20 gift card + $30 in coupons for $55

If you've been sitting on the fence about joining Costco, check out this new deal from Living Social.

Living Social has got a Costco Gold Star membership plus a $20 Costco gift card plus $30 in Costco coupons, all for $55.00.   Now, $55.00 is actually the regular price of a Gold Star membership alone, so it's as if you're getting the gift card and coupons for free. This is for new Costco members only, but, you are also allowed to give this as a gift, so I bought one as an engagement present.

The coupons include:

• a free Kirkland Signature 48-pack of AA batteries.
• a free rotisserie chicken (when I did this deal a while back and got a similar coupon, I went to the Costco service desk and explained that I kept kosher and they allowed me to swap this for a bag of Empire chicken breasts instead).
