Please take note: these subscriptions will auto-renew at the end of the subscription (meaning they will renew your subscription and charge your credit card at the regular subscription price) so make sure to set a reminder for yourself to call their customer service number at 1-877-912-3630 and cancel the renewal.  I subscribed to Real Simple and then set a Google Calendar pop-up reminder  for 11/1/15 to cancel the subscription as of the 12th issue.

Why bother with a subscription that auto-renews?  I think getting some of these subscriptions for $5.00 is well worth the trouble, i.e. $5.00 for a year of Real Simple is unheard of.
