Do you own shells? Whenever I talk about shells, my husband think I'm either referring to those things you find on the beach or what you throw away after you eat peanuts. 0 for 2.
Shells are thin layering shirts that you layer under other clothes. They accomplish a few things: they can make virtually any outfit (sleeveless, scooped neck, cut out back, short skirt, etc.) modest, giving you a lot more flexibility in terms of what clothing you can buy. They also add a layer of warmth without adding bulk, because they are worn close to the body. Shells are a great wardrobe tool and Shell Sheli is one of my favorite place to buy them. They have a really nice selection, lots of size and colors and good pricing.
(If you're new to the world of layering shells, watch this stylist video over here by Heather Anderson.)
Through 12/14/14 only, get 20% off your total order at Shell Sheli when you enter this exclusive Daily Cheapskate promo code DC20 at checkout. Also get $2.00 shipping on any U.S. order over $69.00.
Their regular long-sleeve shells start at $17.99 - 20% = $14.39. Their plus size shells start at $20.99 - 20% = $16.79. I spent two months in Brooklyn this summer, and these prices beat pretty much any that I've seen on shells in-store in either Flatbush or Boro Park.
