Amazon has this Nordic Ware Microwaver Popcorn Popper down to $8.99 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping. While not the actual lowest price on this item ($7.00), it was hovering around the $14ish zone for a while until it came back down.
So a little history first. This, without a doubt, is my favorite frugal way to make popcorn and this is the way I've been doing it for years. I've been putting it in a brown paper bag and just popping it in the microwave. But that brown-paper-bag-thing was starting to get a little old. We would run out of bags, or the bag would open or tear, and we'd have a bit of a mess on our hands.
The Nordic Ware Microwaver Popcorn Popper is basically a gemstone 12-cup bowl with a plastic lid that is completely microwave safe, no BPAs, it won't melt or warp, etc. It's dishwasher safe as well (a requirement in my kitchen). It's just a neater way of making the popcorn, and you can eat it right out of the same bowl. And for $8.99, it's a great buy. This microwave popper got 4.4 out of 5 stars over 1,839 customer reviews.
