Amazon Gold Box Deal of the Day (5/7/15): Best graphics and video editing software in the industry, Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 and Premiere Elements 13 for $67.99 (like a half-price or BOGO deal).

When I'm not the Cheapskate-in-Chief on Daily Cheapskate,  I wear an entirely different hat;  I'm a web designer, and I've worked as one for over 17 years.  I've always used the full version of Adobe Photoshop for the graphic part of my work, but it comes with a professional price-tag.

Whenever friends ask me to recommend graphic-editing software for them, I always tell them about Photoshop's "little sister," Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 (which is currently priced at $69.99 on Amazon). Elements 13 is scaled-down version of Photoshop that lets you edit and organize your graphics and images easily. 

From the same company that makes Photoshop, there is also a software package called Adobe Premiere Elements 13 (currently priced at $68.58 on Amazon) that is used to edit and organize videos.

Today's Amazon Gold Box Deal of the Day is a bundle of BOTH Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements for $67.99 with free shipping.  That's like getting one of these software packages for FREE.  I checked and yesterday's price on this bundle is $119.99, so it truly is practically a BOGO offer. 

If you decide to buy this, my advice is to definitely buy the disc version of the software and not the licensed download version.  The advantage of buying the download version is that you'll be able to use it right away and won't have to wait for the shipping, but I checked, and almost any negative reviews on this software package have to do with download and installation issues, not the software itself.  The price for the disc version is exactly the same as the download version, $67.99, so I think that's a no-brainer.  It installs on both PCs and Macs.  The other advantage to buying the discs is that if you change computers in the near future, you can just re-install the software from the discs.

 I never understood why people would spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on the best cameras but not buy good software to edit their treasured pictures and videos.  The Adobe Elements software bundle is a great way of getting very feature-rich graphic and video software without paying Adobe's price for the high-end flagship version.  And since the bundle price on the Gold Box version is like getting both Elements software packages for BOGO or for half-price; any way you slice it, it's a major steal.
