Barilla Orzo (1 lb. box) for 78 cents with free shipping on Amazon, and my favorite summer orzo salad recipe

Ok, so first, "clip" the 20% off coupon.  That's 20% off the pre-discount price of $9.60, or $1.92.  So that means that you'll get a flat discount of $1.92, no matter what you end up paying on Subscribe & Save.

Here's my favorite summertime orzo salad recipe.  Serve it cold for Shabbos lunch or seudah shlisheet.

Summertime Orzo Salad

Dressing:

  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup olive oil

Salad ingredients:

  • 16 ounces cooked and drained orzo pasta
  • 2 cups grape or cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 scallions, checked and chopped
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 red pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup hearts of palm, diced
  • 1/2 cup chick peas
  • 1/2 cup mandarin orange slices

Toss salad ingredients with dressing and serve cold.
