Light posting on Daily Cheapskate: here's why

You may have noticed some very light posting and updating on Daily Cheapskate in the last week or two.  There's a good reason for that. A family member of mine is ill in the hospital and I needed to fly to New York to take care of her.  

So if I'm less than responsive to your emails and messages, and not posting every day, I do hope you'll forgive me.  I hope to have my family member home and well, b'ezrat Hashem, in a week or two, so in the meantime, I'm just stealing a moment here and there to post whatever I can, and I do hope you'll bear with me.
