GREAT PRICE on Energizer MAX AA or AAA Batteries on Amazon, beats Costco price!

Amazon has got a new high-value $5.00 online coupon for Energizer MAX batteries that can be applied to their 34-count bulk pack of Energizer MAX AA or AAA Batteries, but either way, you'll get get a great price on these batteries, even better than Costco's price (where I usually buy my batteries).

First let's do the math on the Amazon pricing:

Now let's compare this to Costco's pricing. I didn't see Energizer MAX batteries at Costco, but I did see bulk pricing on Duracell batteries, which is more or less a comparable brand. YMMV on the Costco pricing.  I don't know if you can make out the numbers on the image below (it's kind of a crummy picture), but basically the price on a 40 count pack of Duracell AA batteries is $14.89 (37 cents per battery) and the price on a 32 count pack of Duracell AAA batteries is $13.79 (43 cents per battery).  Amazon has the better deal with the coupon.

Amazon disclaimer:  Amazon prices can change without warning, so make sure you double-check the price at checkout.  If the price goes up any time after this deal is posted, Amazon is not responsible for matching this price.

Power up those Chanukah or Christmas electronic and toys gifts. 2. Scroll down and clip the $0.75 coupon on the page.

Spend $75 on Energizer batteries, get a $20 Visa gift card

Yet another battery rebate deal:  spend $75 on any combination of Energizer batteries before the end of the year and get a $20 Visa gift card.   Submit photocopies of your receipts along with this rebate form by 1/14/12 to request your Visa gift card.

I'm more inclined to take advantage of this offer rather than the Duracell offer, even though the reward is a $20 gift card instead of $25 one, because it's a lot easier to spend $75 on batteries than to spend $100.  Whichever offer you choose, make sure you don't buy the batteries just to get the gift card...only buy them if you both need them and find good deals on them.  There are currently a few battery coupons appearing in the Sunday newspaper that will sweeten the deal.

Spend $100 in Duracell batteries, receive a $25 gift card

When you buy $100 worth of Duracell batteries through 12/30/11, you can get a $25 gift card via this mail in rebate. (I'm assuming this is a Visa gift card, though they don't specify that.)

If you're buying Duracell batteries anyway to power up those Chanukah and Christmas gifts, hold on to your receipts.  If you spend $100 on Duracells before the end of the year, why not submit the receipts with this rebate form to get a $25 gift card?  Must submit receipts and forms before 1/16/12.  Gift cards expire 10/31/12.

A little overwhelmed by this season's mail-in rebates?  Me too.  Read about the best ways to manage all your mail-in rebates here.

Amazon Prime members, get a $5 credit when you purchase Duracell batteries

UPDATE:  Thanks to reader Sompo1126, I just discovered that you won't receive the $5 credit if you use Subscribe & Save.  So keeping the price at the regular $9.97, minus the $0.75 coupon, the total starts out at $9.22, or $0.46 per battery.  After the $5 credit is factored in, the price drops to $4.22 or $0.21 per battery.  Still a great deal.  Thank you Sompo for speaking to an Amazon rep and clarifying this!  If you already purchased the Subscribe & Save deal, cancel the order (it is easily canceled within a few hours) and repurchase.  My apologies.

************************

Amazon Prime members get a $5 credit on your next purchase when you buy Duracell batteries.  The details are here.  If you're not an Amazon Prime member, you can start a one-month free trial, risk free.

There are some nice Amazon deals on Duracell batteries currently going on:

Get a 20-pack of AA Duracell Coppertop batteries or a 20-pack of AAA Duracell Coppertop batteries for $8.47 with the Subscribe & Save option (remember, you can cancel Subscribe and Save at any time after placing the order).  And make sure you "clip" the $0.75 coupon that's on the page to lower your price to $7.72. That comes to $0.39 per battery.  When you factor in the $5 credit on your next purchase, the cost drops to $2.72 or just $0.14 per battery.  That's a great deal.

28 AAA or AA batteries for $10.98 at Amazon

I hesitate to post Amazon deals, since they tend to disappear on a dime, but this is a good one.  Let's see how long this one sticks around.

Get 28 triple A or double A sized batteries at Amazon for $10.98 or $0.39/battery.  Here's how.

    1. Add these triple A Duracell Coppertop or double A Duracell Coppertop batteries (both priced at $14.65) to your Amazon account, but use the Subscribe and Save option over on the right.  Using the Subscribe and Save option immediately slices 15% off your price, lowering your price to $12.45, and gives you free shipping.
    2. Get an extra 10% off by using promo code DUR5CELL at checkout. This code expires 5/25/11 and can be used once per customer.   This will lower your price to the final $10.98, or 39 cents per battery.
    3. If you don't want to receive batteries on a regular basis, you can always unsubscribe to Subscribe and Save. After you are logged into your account, click here and then click "cancel this subscription."  You can do this at any time after your order.
