20% off Amazon Grocery & Gourmet Food when you use your Amazon Rewards Visa = real Pesach bargains on KLP pudding, cake, tea, olives, couscous and more...

Since before Purim, I've been posting my kosher-for-Passover Amazon finds, and as we get closer to the actual holiday, many of these deals have disappeared, whether they are out of stock or the prices have doubled (goodbye $2 cake mixes and $1.60 KLP tuna). Note to self and to my readers:  start shopping way early next year.

But the happy news is that there are still some really good, better-than-the-stores deals to be found.  And the happier news is that if you've got an Amazon Rewards Visa, you'll save 20% off any purchase in the "Grocery & Gourmet Food" category!  All this adds up to some pretty unexpected Pesach savings.  (Please note, you cannot stack the 20% off discount with other discounts, like Subscribe & Save.) You can use this discount only once (so make it count!) per account, and you need to enter promo code MAR20OFF at checkout.  This offer expires 3/31/12, and the maximum 20% discount is $20 (which of course, translates into $100 worth of groceries).

Here are some of the deals that I posted previously that are still available:

  • Osem Pudding Chocolate Flavor, 3.3 oz, pack of 12, $12.92;  make sure you click on the link that says "2 new from $12.92." ($1.08 each).  UPDATE:  with your 20% discount, this will come to $10.34, or $0.86 per box.

If you prefer vanilla, there is a Subscribe & Save deal for the small size package:  Osem Pudding Vanilla Flavor, 2.8 oz. pack of 12, $10.98  ($0.92 each).  Remember, you can very easily unSubscribe from Subscribe & Save once your order has shipped.  I use these as cake-enrichers or I mix them with non-dairy topping and freeze in parfait cups for moussey-kind-of desserts.  UPDATE:  since you cannot stack the 20% with the 15% Subscribe & Save discount, go with the regular $12.92 price.  With your 20% discount, this will come to $10.34, or $0.86 per box.

  • Gefen Passover Black Pepper, 3 oz., pack of 8, $7.85 ($0.98 each).  UPDATE: For some undiscernable reason, Amazon wouldn't let me apply my 20% discount to this item, but it's still a great buy even without the discount, so I included it.

KLP spices generally go for about $2 each, so this is a half-price bargain.  You are definitely going to want to split this with friends (though I would stockpile one for next year), since there's no way you'll be going through 8 jars of pepper over 8 days.  (If you do, you're putting too much spice in your food....)
  • Liebers Creamy Chocolate Supreme Passover Frosting, 9 oz., pack of 4, $4.69 ($1.17 each)  UPDATE: for some discernible reason, you cannot apply the 20% discount to this item.  Because it was still such a good buy, even without the discount, I included it.  A real time-saver when you're making multiple desserts for different meals and at $1.17 each, treat yourself to a shortcut.  I've also spread this frosting on matzoh and topped with nuts and frozen it for a quick-and-dirty dessert when I know my guests are bringing a bunch of kids.

  • Osem Mediterranean Green Olives, 19.6 oz.cans, pack of 12, $26.67 with Subscribe & Save ($2.23 per can).   UPDATE:  Since you cannot stack the 20% discount on top of 15% off Subscribe & Save discount, go with the regular $31.38 price and then apply the 20% discount. With your 20% discount, the new price will be $25.10, or $2.09 per can.
