Amazon Gold Box Deal of the Day: Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner for $299 shipped
Today's Amazon Gold Box Deal of the Day is this Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner for $299.00 with free shipping.
You might recall that Amazon had the identical Gold Box Deal of the Day on 3/7/12, only for $319.99. I do recall it, because we bought our Dyson DC25 vaccum through that deal and we couldn't be happier. (No regrets about the $20 difference; you can't time deals, and we've had 8 months of glossy clean hardwood floors.)
I'll tell you what I told you back in March: this Dyson vacuum has every feature we'd been looking for: it's lightweight (23 lbs), easy to maneuver because of the ball, bagless, has that incredibly efficient "cyclone" technology, has a HEPA filter, comes with a 5-year p&l warranty, and has got excellent reviews, especially for homes with pets. Current owners consistently say that a Dyson is basically the best vacuum you can buy, period.
In January, we got a new, beautiful white-haired Labrador-mix dog. We love him, but he sheds like nobody's business. Pre-Dyson, we had been living with copious amounts of dog hair all over the house. I used to vacuum with our little $85 Bissell, but it just didn't do the trick. Each night I was been sweeping up enough hair to make up another dog, and I never seem to get all of it. This Dyson has completely changed the way we clean. I had been salivating after this model for a while, but I never thought we could afford it.
Sears has it for $754.95 (ridiculous), Walmart has it for $399, Home Depot has it for $499, and back then, I told myself that there was no way we were spending that kind of money on a vacuum. When it came up as an Amazon Gold Deal for $319.99, I swooped like a falcon.
And now, it's even cheaper. $299 is pretty much the lowest price you'll see for this Dyson model.
If you've been hankering after a top-of-the-line vacuum for a reasonable price, snag this deal now. It disappears at the close of the day (after 11/27/12, the price will revert back up to $379).
