I'll be honest with you; I have been eyeballing this Dyson model for a few months now, and I almost fell off my chair when I saw it was the Amazon Deal of the Day. This vacuum has every feature we've been looking for: it's lightweight (23 lbs), easy to maneuver because of the ball, bagless, has that incredibly efficient "cyclone" technology, has a HEPA filter, comes with a 5-year p&l warranty, and has got excellent reviews, especially for homes with pets. I'm told by current owners that a Dyson is basically the best vacuum you can buy, period.
We recently got a new, beautiful white-haired Labrador-mix dog. We love him, but he sheds like nobody's business. We have been living with copious amounts of dog hair all over the house. I vacuum with our little $85 Bissell, but it just doesn't do the trick. Each night I have been sweeping up enough hair to make up another dog, and I never seem to get all of it. I've been salivating after this model of Dyson for a while, but I never thought we could afford it.
I saw it at Sears for $474.99, and the Home Depot had it for $499, and I told myself that there was no way we were spending that kind of money on a vacuum, even with my 10% off coupons. (The other day, I saw a refurbished version of this on Woot for $250, but I give refurbished appliances a very wide berth.) Finally, I saw it on Target.com for $379 and I almost bit the bullet, since we would get 5% off with my RedCard, bringing the price down to $360.
Getting this Dyson model for $319.99 is almost unbelievable.
If you've been hankering after a top-of-the-line vacuum for a reasonable price, snag this deal now. It disappears at the end of the day (the price will revert back up to $379).
