Technology on a budget: $70 tablet

Dear Daily Cheapskate,

I get green with envy when I see people on the train with their iPads, but there's no way I can afford to drop $500 on a tablet right now.  This is probably asking too much, but are there any decent tablets out there for less than a hundred bucks?
