HP DeskJet 1000 Printer for $20 with free in-store pickup

I don't think I've ever seen a printer priced this low.  

Walmart has got the HP DeskJet 1000 Printer for $20.00 with free in-store or FedEx office pickup (or $4.97 to ship to your home, or free shipping with a $45.00 total purchase). 

This printer is so low-priced, when Daily Cheapskate reader Eliana G. of Far Rockaway NY had a conference in Dallas and needed a printer there, she simply bought one of these at a nearby Dallas Walmart, hooked it up to her laptop in her hotel room, and when the conference was over and she was about to fly home to New York, she gave the printer to the hotel housekeeper assigned to her room.  For $20.00, she could afford to.  "It was cheaper and more convenient to buy this printer than to keep running out to an office service every time I needed something printed," she said.  That is definitely some out-of-the-box frugal thinking.

I'd expect something that cost this little to have mediocre reviews at best, but surprise, this printer received  4.2 out of 5 stars over 997 customer reviews.
