I actually purchased this single burner last January (and paid about $5 more). We bought a ceramic smooth top stove that needs to be kashered from milchigs (dairy) to fleishigs (meat), and rather than do that every time my husband wanted to make himself a cheese omelet, we bought one of these just for dairy.
