Back in 2014, I bought this beautiful 65-piece Lenox Portola set, which includes service for 12 and a 5-piece hostess set.
Jet.com has dropped the price on the Lenox Portola flatware set to $92.21, but if you are a new Jet.com customer and enter promo code 15NOW, that price drops by 15% to $78.38 with free 2-day shipping. This is the lowest price I have ever seen or posted on the Lenox Portola set (and is even less than what I paid for it).
We absolutely love this set. It's a heavy, substantial-feeling set of 18/10 flatware, and the design is very understated and elegant; it looks great on our Shabbos table. We call it our "grown-up" silverware. (We have a nice set of Oneida for dairy, and there is just no comparison between the two.)
It goes right in the dishwasher after we use it, and cleans up beautifully. The only negative is that the knives needs to be dried right after washing, or they get water spots and need to be re-rinsed, but that is such a minor minus in the face of how pretty and practical it is.
This set goes for $149.95 on the Lenox site. Hayneedle has it for $149.95. Amazon's current price is here.
