Although School Supply season doesn't officially begin until the beginning of August, I couldn't resist getting started a little early and posting some pre-season Amazon deals.
Can you do better on the cost of school supplies at Staples and Office Depot? On some items, absolutely, but you need to wait for the sale and get in the car. For some of you busy Moms & Dads, the trade-off between the time spent loading your kids in the car, going through the store circular, matching it up to your list, cruising up and down the aisles looking for the sale items (and hoping they are still in stock), added to the cost of gas is just not worth it if you can pick up most of what you need sitting in your sweats in front of your laptop in your air-conditioned living room. The advantage of time and convenience over money is completely a personal choice.
