PRICE DROP: Aroma hot plate single burner for $13.55 on Amazon

Amazon had a nice price drop on this Aroma hot plate single burner for $13.55 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping, (which is only 56 cents more than the lowest Amazon price ever, $12.99).

I actually purchased two of these burners two years ago, one for during-the-year dairy and one for Passover dairy.  We have a ceramic smooth stovetop that needs to be kashered from dairy to meat, and rather than do that every time my husband wanted to make himself a cheese omelet, we bought one of these just for dairy.  This Aroma hot plate burner got 3.8 out of 5 stars over 702 customer reviews, and my own personal review is 5 stars.  It gets hot very quickly, cooks evenly, cleans up nicely. It cools down fast once we unplug it and it's compact enough to go back on a cabinet shelf when I don't need it.

I know everyone is very concerned with fire safety these days because of the recent tragedy in Brooklyn, so I took a look at our Pesach Aroma burner and on the underside, it says ETL Listed - Intertek,  and it conforms to UL standard 1026.

I hesitated about posting this because there are only two of these left, but I just got the one that I ordered today and it so exceeded my expectations that I had to share it with you.  Whoever gets to this first wins.

Amazon has this Lenox Frog Condiment Server for only $14.95 with free shipping. Now, it doesn't have Prime 2-day shipping so, sadly, it might not make it to you before your seder, but worst case scenario, at least you'll have it for next year.  Three things you need to know about this:

1. It's larger than it looks in the picture.  The bowls for the condiments are actually the size of deep cereal bowls. You can use it for salt water at your seder or for extra carpas or maror, or you can use it for side dishes at your meal.
2. It's crazyadorable in person. Even though it's Lenox, it's whimsical and cute with that frog sitting there.
3. The one bad review is totally unjustified.  I'd buy this again in a second.

Seder Exodus table arrangement by DK Design

This brilliant Seder Exodus table arrangement was created by the very creative Daphna Biron Kaminetsky of DK Design.

First lay down the "yabasha" or the dry ground under the water.  You can pick up material in a fabric store or use a tan or brown tablecloth like this one, and if you like, strew it with pebbles or shells.  Then use some gathered-up solid blue table runners to form the walls of water around the table edges.  Place your table settings around the "water." The Children of Israel marching through the Red Sea are various Playmobil people or Mitzvah Kinder, but you can raid your kids' toybox and use whatever little figures they have.

I think this arrangement is one of the most clever seder tables I've seen in a long time and will keep your kids endlessly engaged in the seder.
