But were you aware that in addition to a printed book, you can also get children's or teen's books that come with dolls, books that come with LEGO figures, books that come with stuffed animals, sticker books, pop-up books, books that come with CDs, or DVDs, or crafts, electronic reader books, books that come with finger puppets, books that play music, and so much more! All of these books qualify for the $5.00 off $15.00 Amazon book promotion, because they come with a printed book! And don't forget boxed sets!
Electronic Readers for kids: These tend to be collections and are generally for very young children. They "read" the books along with the printed books.
Books for kids that come with CDs
Book & toy gift sets:
books that come with bonus stuffed animals and other toys. Kids go crazy for these.
Pop-up Books. Some of these are so skillfully done, they really bring the story alive to kids.
And I would be remiss if I didn't mention these three stand-alone, flat-out fantastic kids' books with extras:
This Book is a Planetarium: "Defying every expectation of what a book can be, this pop-up extravaganza transforms into six fully functional tools: a real working planetarium projecting the constellations, a musical instrument complete with strings for strumming, a geometric drawing generator, an infinite calendar, a message decoder, and even a speaker that amplifies sound. Artist Kelli Anderson contributes enlightening text alongside each pop-up, explaining the scientific principles at play in her constructions and creating an interactive experience that's as educational as it is extraordinary. Inspiring awe that lasts long after the initial pop, This Book Is a Planetarium leaves readers of all ages with a renewed appreciation for the way things work—and for the enduring magic of books."
Welcome to the Symphony: A Musical Exploration of the Orchestra Using Beethoven's Symphony No. 5: "Using one of the most famous works in classical music—Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony—here is the perfect way to introduce a young child to the world of classical music. This charming and interactive picture book with its panel of 19 sound buttons is like a ticket to a concert hall, taking readers on a journey from the exciting first moment when the musicians begin tuning up to the end of the first movement (attention newcomers: don’t clap yet!). At each step of the way, readers learn the basics of classical music and the orchestra: What is a conductor? What is a symphony? Who was Beethoven? The different aspects of music: melody, harmony, tempo, theme. And the families of instruments—strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. But the best part is that every critical idea is illustrated in gorgeous sound. The sound panel allows readers to hear the different parts of the symphony and voices of the music—the famous beginning of the Fifth, what a clarinet sounds like, the difference between a violin and a viola, what a melody is, and what harmony is. Kids will want to match their voices to the A note that tunes the orchestra, dance to the rhythmic passages—and, of course, sing along to da-da-da-daah!" This wonderful book also has a coupon attached to it, so it comes to just under $10.00, which is an amazing price!
And finally, don't forget classic books sets like:
