Cereal deal at Kroger-owned supermarkets: good--->better--->free!

Inexpensive cereal is very good.  Free cereal is way better.

If you have a Kroger-owned chain supermarket in your area (like King Soopers in Denver), heads up! They are currently running a great sale on both Kellogg's and Quaker cereals, for $1.99 per box until 7/23/11.  $1.99 for a box of cereal is a pretty decent price on its own.  Good.

Fortunately, there are plenty of $0.35-$0.70 coupons around for off each box, lowering your price to $1.65-$1.30 per box.  Better.

Now if you were lucky enough to download this coupon for $5 off 5 boxes of cereal (no longer available), you will end up paying $0.99 for each box of cereal when you buy five and use the coupon.  Make sure you buy the Kellogg's cereal, not the Quaker ones (they were in the same display at King Soopers).  Even better.

AND, if four of those five boxes of cereal have the Cars2 codes inside (the Cars2 Rewards program is explained here), you can redeem them immediately for a $5 Visa gas card, good at any gas station that takes Visa.  So.....you just netted five boxes of free cereal?  Definitely best.
