Get a free 2 gigs of storage from Google

In honor of Safer Internet Day (2/9/16) Google will give you a permanent, free 2 gigabyte bump in your Google Drive storage plan if you complete a simple a Google Security Checkup.  If you have a Gmail account or use any Google product that is connected to Google Drive, that extra 2 gigabytes of storage will probably come in very handy sometime soon.

While everything stored in Drive is always encrypted in transit and at rest in Google’s custom-built data centers, this security checkup ensures you’re making the most of the 24/7 protection you already get from Google.  It actually took me under a minute to complete the security checkup.

If you have multiple Gmail/Google accounts, you'll need to run the security checkup separately for each account, and you'll get the extra free 2 gigs in each one.
