How I lost my purse and found a great price on checks
Three weeks ago, I left my purse in a Dunkin Donuts in Colorado Springs, 60 miles away from my house. True story. I didn't realize it until we got home. I frantically searched the car, and after I came up empty-handed, I immediately called over to the Dunkin Donuts. They couldn't find it.
I spent an hour cancelling all my credit cards and then I had to call my bank, because I had checks in my purse. We cancelled our checking account and opened a new one.
Do you have any idea how much a bank charges for checks?!? I didn't, because it had been a while since I've ordered any. Their outrageous pricing started me on an online quest for a really good price on checks. I still hadn't found any, until today.
Checks Unlimited has just released a new promo code. Get 30% off on all online check orders at Checks Unlimited, when you use promo code PFVB. The "Renaissance" design checks pictured above are normally $31.98 for two boxes ($16 per box) but when you click through this link and use promo code PFVB, your cost will be $20.99 or $10.50 per box. That's less than half of what my bank wanted to charge me.
Oh, and my purse? The wonderful folks at that DD did find it, completely intact....about an hour after I finished cancelling every card and account I owned.
Ah, well.
