Who wants free gas? Discover the new FRN program to save money everyday on gas at Shell stations and then check the bottom of this post to see how you can win a free pre-loaded $20 FRN gas card.
There's a new fuel rewards program launching across the USA this year called the Fuel Rewards Network – or FRN – program. The FRN program allows you to earn rewards on purchases like holiday gifts and groceries, that can be redeemed for fuel savings at participating Shell stations. Never pay full price at the pump again! Here's how FRN lets you accumulate money off at the pump:
- Online Mall – access nearly 700 brand name online merchants offering 5 cents per gallon for every $50 spent. Some online merchants may offer 2x, 5x, 10x rewards or more.
- Dining – earn 10 cents per gallon for every $50 spent when dining at more than 10,000 participating restaurant locations nationwide.
- Shell Fuel Rewards – purchase specially marked products inside the convenience store as well as car washes and auto services at participating Shell stations and earn Fuel Rewards savings.
- eCoupons – digital coupons available for select retailers in select markets.
- Grocery & Other Programs – buy the everyday things you need and earn Fuel Rewards savings from participating FRN grocery stores and retailers. Link your participating grocer or other retailer loyalty card to your FRN Account to combine your rewards for even more savings at the pump at Shell in select markets.
This program is unique because it allows consumers to combine or stack multiple rewards offers – or cents-per-gallon discounts – together for potentially huge savings right at the pump. Imagine taking as much as one, two, three dollars or more off per gallon on your next fuel purchase!
Get started and sign up for your own free FRN card here. (Currently, they are giving away an extra $0.03 per gallon discount just for signing up.)
Now for the giveaway---
With the holidays around the corner, the very kind folks at FRN contacted me about giving away ten (yes, TEN!) free pre-loaded $20 FRN gas cards to ten Daily Cheapskate readers. Happy Chanukah to you!
The way the pre-loaded cards work is as follows: you swipe the card when you pump your gas at any nearby Shell station and it deducts $1.00 per gallon from your cost, up to 20 full gallons. (If you don't pump the full 20 gallons, the card still goes to zero after you use it, so you might want to use this on the large-tanked SUV.)
