Get an additional $10 off of $130 on already-discounted gift cards at Raise
Have you discovered Raise yet? Buying Raise.com gift cards is one of the most oft-used tools in my frugal arsenal. First of all, even without any promo codes at all, all of their gift cards are discounted. That means that when I pay with a gift card from Raise.com, I'm automatically saving money, even if I never clip another coupon or use another promo code. For stores that I frequent, like Walmart, Walgreen's, Home Depot, Southwest Airlines, Victoria's Secret, Whole Foods, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc., using gift cards that are already discounted is a no-brainer.
When Raise stacks the deck by offering a promo code discount on top of their already discounted cards, I pay attention. Right now when you enter promo code DAD10 at checkout, you'll be scoring an additional $10 off your $130 gift card purchase. The $130 does not have to be all on one gift card, but can be spread over a few different ones. That's like getting an additional 7.7% off of your gift cards, on top of the regular Raise discount.
Paying for stuff with discounted gift cards just makes tons of frugal sense and is my favorite item on a list of no-brainer, low-effort ways to save money.
(And don't forget that if' you've got gift cards from stores that you never frequent, you can also sell them through Raise. You'll lose a little money on the transaction, but better to have the cash in your pocket than to be dragging around a gift card that you'll never use. We unloaded a few gift cards at non-kosher establishments that we had received through work this way, and are going to use the cash to treat ourselves to a fabulously expensive kosher dinner the next time we're in New York.)
