Chicken of the Sea Pink Salmon pouches $0.89-$1.00 each

Yay, another Amazon Subscribe-&-Save-stacked-with-a-coupon deal on Chicken of the Sea pink salmon pouches.  This is probably the third time I'm buying this, as it's so much less expensive than the supermarket, and we gobble these down.

Get this 12-pack of Chicken of the Sea Salmon (OU-kosher certified) 2.5 oz. pouches for $13.47 as a Subscribe and Save deal.  But there's also a 10% off coupon (that's 10% off the ORIGINAL price) that brings it down another $1.42 to $12.05. That works out to about $1.00 per pouch and since it's Subscribe & Save, shipping is FREE.

We love these pouches; they are great for work lunches (no mess) and daytrip outings.

Just a word about Amazon Subscribe & Save: selecting Subscribe & Save is a fantastic way to save money.  It's pretty much risk-free, even if you are doing it just to get the 5% discount. You can UNsubscribe to Subscribe & Save very easily, by going to your account as soon as your order has shipped. Even if (worse case scenario) you completely forget to unsubscribe, Amazon will not send out an additional order without shooting you a warning email first, giving you ample time to unsubscribe and cancel any additional orders in time. It's pretty much an all-win proposition. Shipping on Subscribe & Save items is always free, even without a Prime membership.

And as you probably know by now, while Amazon Subscribe & Save is a program that saves you 5% whenever you order, if you receive more than five orders in one month, that percentage gets bumped up to 15%.  (If you are a member of Amazon Mom, that percentage goes up even further to 20%.)  So each month, I try to get to that five-order minimum, through a combination of larger orders that I really need, supplemented by orders of things I could use that are very low-cost (say, under $5.00).  I set my Subscribe & Save date to the 30th of the month, so that I have until the 21st to change or delete my Subscribe & Save orders.

If you manage to hit that five-Subscribe&Save-orders-in-one-month sweet spot including this order, the price on this will drop to $12.05 - $1.42 = $10.63, or $0.89 per pouch.  That's an awesome price that beats even supermarket sales.
