Seven more Subscribe & Save items under $3.00 that will help you get to that five-deliveries-a-month goal

As I'm sure you know by now, Amazon Subscribe & Save is a program that saves you 5% whenever you order, and if you receive more than five orders in one month, that percentage gets bumped up to 15%.  If you are a member of Amazon Mom, that discount percentage goes up even further to 20%.

Each month, I try to get to that five-order-sweet-spot, through a combination of larger orders of items that I really need (paper towels, toilet paper, certain food items), supplemented by orders of things that I could use that are very low-cost (say, under $5.00). I set my Subscribe & Save date to the 30th of the month, so that I have until the 21st to change or delete my Subscribe & Save orders, if I change my mind about an item.

So how does ordering an extra item actually save you money?  That seems counter-intuitive, doesn't it?  But if the item is priced low enough, the math will work out.  For example, if you find yourself ordering four items that total $100, then adding an additional item will save you either 10% more or 15% more (depending on whether you're part of Amazon Mom), or $10.00 or $15.00. So adding anything that costs less than $10.00 or $15.00 will actually reduce your final bill.
