I was stuck in New York for a few months this past summer tending to a family member who was not well, and I literally took Uber rides everywhere I needed to go. Their prices were MUCH cheaper than car services overall, and they came very quickly (usually within 5 minutes of my calling a car), and I never had to deal with parking.
