14-piece Glad Containers, either Star Wars or Frozen, $3.98 at Walmart

Walmart has got this 14-piece Glad Star Wars Variety Pack for $3.98 with free in-store pickup (or free 2-day shipping with a $35 minimum order).  It also has got the 14-piece Glad Frozen Variety Pack for $3.98 as well.  These are great prices on the 14-piece Glad containers set, let alone Star Wars and Frozen ones; that's 57 cents per Star Wars container plus lid, which is fabulous.  (Here's the Amazon price, fyi.)

Confession: we don't have kids but I just ordered 2 of the Star Wars one for Pesach.  We just love Star Wars and we can use these for Pesach anyway.)

More Early bird Passover deals: KFP herbal tea, as low as $1.75 per box with free shipping.

Forget about the traditional Wissotszky Passover tea that costs upwards of $3.50 per box!  If you've been reading Daily Cheapskate for a while, you might remember that Bigelow makes quite a few varieties of KLP teas, under the Kof-K hechsher.  And these teas are delicious; I drink their Plantation Mint flavor year round.  But you don't want to order them from the Bigelow site as they are quite a bit more expensive there.

However, Amazon has got a few flavors of KFP (kosher for Passover) Bigelow tea in packages of six for as low as $1.75 per box of 20 tea bags!  That's even less expensive than most herbal tea is during the year.

Because there are Subscribe & Save deals, you don't need to have a Prime account to get the free shipping, but make sure to adjust your Subscribe and Save shipping date to ensure that it arrives before Pesach. Order these with friends and then mix and match for some real Pesach tea bargains.

Make sure you look for the Kof-K-P on the box itself when the tea arrives, which ensures that it is KFP.

One more frugal thought:  KLP tea that is packaged up nicely also makes for a great hostess gift.

Early-Bird Passover Deals on Amazon

I know, I know, we haven't even gotten through Purim yet, but these Amazon kosher-for-Passover deals popped up on my radar, and it's never too early to shop for Passover non-perishables. The more you shop now, the less stressful it will be in another month. For some of these items with larger quantities, you'll probably want to split these with friends.

New Costco coupon: $4.00 off on Kirkland Atlantic Salmon

My Costco coupon booklet arrived today and look what I found:  a $4.00 coupon off a three-pound bag of Kirkland Atlantic Salmon, good from 1/29/15 through 2/22/15.

This salmon has been steadily rising in price over the last five years, and it currently goes for $23.99 at my local Costco (YMMV). With this coupon, that price will drop to a much more manageable $19.99.  While the limit is 3 per visit, I'll be stocking up on these like nobody's business all next month.  Why?  1) it's certified kosher under the OU.  2) For the last three years, it's also been certified as kosher for Passover by several of the major kashrus agencies....stock up the freezer now with this salmon and avoid paying exorbitant Passover prices on KFP gefilte fish 3) this is really good salmon; every piece is center-cut and because they wrap individual pieces, it doesn't have that awful frozen-fish taste.

Last year, Costco was an absolute treasure trove of frugal Kosher-for-Passover deals; let's hope they are just as friendly to our Passover budgets this year.
