My Costco coupon booklet arrived today and look what I found: a $4.00 coupon off a three-pound bag of Kirkland Atlantic Salmon, good from 1/29/15 through 2/22/15.
This salmon has been steadily rising in price over the last five years, and it currently goes for $23.99 at my local Costco (YMMV). With this coupon, that price will drop to a much more manageable $19.99. While the limit is 3 per visit, I'll be stocking up on these like nobody's business all next month. Why? 1) it's certified kosher under the OU. 2) For the last three years, it's also been certified as kosher for Passover by several of the major kashrus agencies....stock up the freezer now with this salmon and avoid paying exorbitant Passover prices on KFP gefilte fish 3) this is really good salmon; every piece is center-cut and because they wrap individual pieces, it doesn't have that awful frozen-fish taste.
Last year, Costco was an absolute treasure trove of frugal Kosher-for-Passover deals; let's hope they are just as friendly to our Passover budgets this year.
