Amazon has got this Chef Basics set for a song, just $8.99 with free Prime (or SuperSaver with a $25 minimum purchase) shipping. It includes five steak knives, kitchen shears, salt & pepper shakers, and a kitchen timer. This is the kind of set you pick up when you have all your knives, but could always use some extra steak knives for guests. Because we don't use our dishwasher on Pesach, we end up using a great deal of paper goods for guests, but I always like to use "real" utensils, and there are never enough clean ones available. Extra steak knives are super helpful. An extra pair of shears is always a useful item in any kitchen, and I love how the timer is built in to the side of the block, and is lifted above my messy kitchen counters when I'm cooking/baking.
This is a useful supplemental set and the price is certainly right. Get this Chef's Basics set for $8.99.
