Thanks for this great tip! We just bought a new home and are in the market for a refrigerator and a washer/dryer. Definitely checking out these deals!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new home, Amara! Please let me know what deals you find and if you do end up buying anything...I love hearing about readers' finds. (Don't forget about the cash-back...that's always a significant part of the discount.)
ReplyDeleteI just ordered a nice big stainless steel refrigerator normally priced at Sears.com for $1530. It was on sale for $1300. With the coupon code, it came down to $1175. Assuming I get the ShopAtHome cash-back, it will be $1057. (I haven't always had good luck with them. I find ebates to be much more reliable, but I'm hopeful that the 10% back will come through.) It includes free delivery, and I used a Sears credit card so that I can pay it off over 12 months with no interest. I think I got a pretty great deal! Thanks for sharing this very helpful information!
ReplyDeleteAmara, fantastic! Please let me know if the Shop at Home cash-back does not come through. I have some great contacts at Shop at Home who can help you if you have any problem at all. (Email me privately at frugalskate@gmail.com if there is a problem.) Also, doublecheck this, but using your Sears card might have gotten you an additional 5% off. If it didn't, call Sears and ask them about it.
ReplyDeleteI think saving $500 on a $1,500 fridge is EXCELLENT! Cheapskate kudos to you!
I did get an e-mail that I earned the Shop at Home cash-back, so hopefully the check will come soon (it will be my first one from them - I'm usually an eBates girl but I couldn't resist this bonus). I believe using the Sears card gave us a choice of 12 months no interest or 5% off and we went with the opportunity to pay it off slowly. Thanks again for your guidance!
