I've posted in the past about my love-hate relationship with social purchasing "Groupon-type" deals. One of my chief beefs with deal-a-day sites is that I forget about them after I buy them. I buy the deals, and then it takes two days for the voucher to show up in my account. By that time, I've forgotten about them. It's very annoying to make a purchase in order to save money and then ironically end up throwing out money because it's so hard to keep track of all the various social purchasing sites.
That's why I absolutely love Couptivate . It's not a deal-a-day site, but rather an aggregating service that keeps all of your social purchasing deals in one place, and instantly updates you on when they expire, etc. in real time. Here's an example of what you'll see in your Couptivate account (a screenprint from my own personal Couptivate account):
I entered my log-in for Groupon (which is captured and "remembered" by the Couptivate site) and then the site shows me all my current Groupon deals. This one was a Groupon for EverydaySource that I bought and used back in April. You can actually link to the voucher and the deal (even if it has expired). Love this feature in that it puts all my deals on one page. Anything that adds organization to my life is pretty wonderful in my book.
My only gripe with Couptivate is that it currently only shows you your deals from Groupon, Living Social, Bloomspot, Life Booker, Home Run, KGB Deals, Eversave,Tippr, Plum District, DealOn, Travelzoo, Yelp, and Gilt City. They need to add other popular sites live Saveology, YoLo Deals, WeeklyPlus, Mamasource and others. But I'm sure this clever site will grow and add more social purchasing sites as it goes along.
Sign up for Couptivate here and let them organize your deals for you. I'm very impressed with the idea behind this site.
