Sharebuilder: $50 account opening bonus, great financial product

 

It's great when I can discuss my own personal experience with a financial product (like American Express pre-paid cards) with my readers.  I've had a Sharebuilder account for about four years now.  The way Sharebuilder works is easy:  you can have a small amount deducted from your bank account every month and have it put in an investment plan that you create.  I've had $50/month pulled out of my account and put automatically into relatively safe investments.  It's such a small amount, I haven't even missed it.  Of course, over the years, it's amassed into thousands.  It's a great, low-brainer way to invest.  You can change your investment plan whenever you like, or you can leave it and let it run. You can decide that you don't want to invest at all for the next few months and just let your money sit. You can invest every other week instead of every month. Etc. You pretty much create your own program.  Commissions are very low and the interface is easy to understand.
