Two of the least expensive and most dramatic ways to remake a room: 1) paint and 2) upgrade the lighting. Lowe's has got a great clearance sale on lighting fixtures going on right now. Here are two of my favorite picks.
Get this Portfolio 5-Light Aztec Brushed Nickel Chandelier for $44.75. It features a brushed nickel finish and comes with cloth shades. It requires five 60 watt candelabra bulbs. It's 24"W x 20.625"H and has a hanging chain that goes up to 58.75" long.
Lowe's has got this beautiful Bel Air Lighting 9-Light Chrome Chandelier for only $74.99. This 2-tier lighting fixture has a brushed nickel finish and is Energy Star qualified. It's 30"W x 32.25"H and has a hanging chain that goes up to 72" long.
