I'll just put it right out there: I'm not a big fan of Ikea furniture, and I never have been. I just haven't had good experiences with the quality of Ikea furniture.
However, I am a HUGE fan of Ikea housewares. They are generally well-constructed of high quality materials, and they are priced well below what they might cost in other stores.
I bought the Ikea garlic press about two years ago and I love it. It's different from other garlic presses in that it has a removable insert that makes it super easy to clean, and you can use it on both peeled and unpeeled cloves.
Amazon is now carrying some Ikea kitchen tools, which is wonderful for those of us who don't live close to an Ikea store (or want to deal with navigating its indoor mazes). Right now Amazon has got the Ikea stainless steel garlic press for $8.57 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping. It got 4.5 out of 5 stars over 31 customer reviews. Almost all of the stainless steel garlic presses that got similar ratings on Amazon cost nearly twice as much.
