- This has to be your first 360 Checking account (including Orange Savings)
- Make a total of five debit card purchases (either signature- or PIN-based) or five Checkmate deposits (or any combination of the two) within 45 days and the $125 bonus will be deposited into your account on Day 50.
- Even though it's a checking account and not a savings account, you actually earn interest on your money (.2% on balances under $50,000).
- This has to be your first 360 Savings account (including Orange Savings)
- You need a $500 minimum initial deposit (it's like getting a 15% bonus on that $500).
- You need to leave that $75 bonus in for 30 days, BUT it will be earning interest that entire time.
- The APY on this account is 0.75%
Ladies and gents, this is a $200 no-brainer, and if you are married, it's a $400 no-brainer. My husband and I both have these accounts, and we happily cashed in on those bonuses the last time they ran this offer.
About 7 or 8 years ago, before interest rates tanked, banks were giving these high-value bonuses away like free toasters. I remember Joshua making fun of the way I gobbled these bonuses up, until I started tracking them and showing him the thousands (yes!) of dollars that I made chasing these bonuses. Seriously.
Well, most of those lucrative bank bonuses have all but disappeared, and Capital One (formerly ING) is one of the last highly reputable banks that still offers them, so grab this offer while you can. The whole process of applying for an account takes about 10 minutes online, and if you can walk away with $125 + $75 for such little effort, why would you leave this kind of money on the table?
Sometimes saving money takes effort. Well, this is not one of those times, and in this case, you are actually making money. $200 no-risk, low effort, no-brainer.
(Please note, if you would like to take advantage of both the $75 and $125 bonuses you must open the savings account first.)
