Walmart Savings Catcher: automatically price match at Walmart and get a gift card for a lower price

Lots of stores offer price protection and price-matching, meaning that if you find a lower price from another local store, they will match it. But you need to do the work. You have to go through your shopping list, match it to circulars, find the lower price, go to that store's customer service and hope they will keep their promise to meet a competing price. Target and Walmart will both price match that way, which potentially saves you a ton of time running around to different stores, but again, it's up to you to do the research to find the better prices.

Walmart now has a new app/program called Savings Catcher that automates the process of their price protection and "low price guarantee." Here's how it works:

1. After you complete a Walmart shopping trip, enter the TC Number from your Walmart receipt at walmart.com/savingscatcher, or if you're using the smartphone app, scan the barcode. 
2. Walmart Savings Catcher compares the prices of the items you bought at Walmart to the local advertised prices at the time of your purchase, from both the print and online versions of local weekly retailer ads. 
3. If Walmart's Savings Catcher finds an advertised price that is lower than what you paid for the same exact item at Walmart, you will recieve a Walmart eGift Card for the difference. (How awesome is that?) 

This program was being beta-tested in several major cities but is now available nationwide. This could potentially revolutionize your price-matching and local shopping. I'm going to do a Walmart shopping haul next week, and will test this program to see if it really works. I've heard raves from friends who say they save a little bit on Savings Catcher each time they shop.

Mobile Target BOGO coupon for Coke/Diet Coke/Coke Zero

After several aborted attempts, I finally figured out how to do this!  It's actually pretty easy once you understand these two things:

1. First of all. you MUST do this on your smartphone.  It doesn't work on anything but a mobile device.   The reason I struggled with this was because I was trying to do it on my PC.
2. Second of all, you must be logged into your Facebook account.

Here are the simple directions:

1. Click on ShareACoke.com.
2. Enter your name (or any name) on the Coke bottle.  
3. Click "Make My Bottle" 
4. Click the "Share through Facebook" button and then click "Next" when it asks you to share with a friend, and share the message that pops up in a Facebook window.
5. Go to your Facebook profile and click on the "Share a Coke" post.  
6. Click for your mobile BOGO Coke coupon for a Coke, Diet Coke or Coke Zero, redeemable only at Target.  This is the kind of coupon that the cashier scans from your smartphone. 

The friend with which you shared this will also get a mobile BOGO Target coupon.  You can share this as much as you like with as many friends as you like, but you will only get one coupon (but each of your friends will get one each time you share).
