BOGO plus 20% off plus 8% cash back at Payless Shoes

Payless Shoes is running a week-long their BOGOHO sale (through 10/10/11), which they generally run about three to four times each year.  Now, if you remember your shopper's math, you'll recall that this type of buy-one-get-one-half-off sale (assuming all items are the same price, which gives you the greatest discount) is really the same thing as saying 25% off.

Nice deal.  25% off is a good discount, but we can do better.

There is also a stackable online promo code (and in-store coupon) for 20% off your entire order (expires 10/31/11):  42581.  Very nice deal.

And if you order online and choose the ship-to-store option, you won't have to pay any shipping fees.  Luckily there are Payless Shoes stores everywhere.   Very, very nice deal .

And of course, we never buy anything online without clicking through a cash-back program first.  ShopAtHome.com is currently giving 8% cash back on Payless Shoes.  Paydirt nice deal!

Now, I know that not everyone like buying shoes at Payless.  Their shoes are, frankly, cheaply made.  But they are great for kids, who might go through two to three shoes sizes a year.  They are also great buys for beach shoes, flipflops, trendy shoes that you only plan on wearing for a season, etc.  In short, Payless is a great place to get shoes that will be worn for a short time and then thrown out.   If you're hesitant about buying shoes online without trying them first, go into a Payless Store, pick out the ones you want, and then order them online.  I've actually done that from my Iphone, while still in-store.

Payless is also a fantastic place to get accessories like handbags, socks and belts.  I buy tons of hosiery  from Payless, especially when they have sales like this.  If you buy multiple of the same-priced item and take full advantage of these stackable  discounts your grand total will come out 45% less than the original price!  Let's buy some tights and you'll see what I mean:
  1. Click through the ShopAtHome.com link to Payless Shoes first to make sure you get 8% cash back. (Remember, you must be a member of ShopAtHome.com and signed into your account to get your cash back. Not a member of ShopAtHome.com yet?   It's free. Click here to join and get $5 cash just for signing up and using their site to make a purchase within 30 days.)
  2. Add 8 pairs of these black microfiber tights to your shopping cart.  Remember, you always want to buy even number quantities when there is a BOGO or BOGOHO sale going on, to take full advantage of your BOGO disocunt.  Each pair of these tights costs $6.99, bring your total to $55.92.
  3. Because of the BOGO sale, your total is reduced by $3 for 4 pairs of the tights (or 25% off the total), bringing your total down to $41.94.
  4. Enter promo code 42581 at checkout for 20% ($8.39) off your entire purchase.  Your total is now $33.55.
  5. Select ship-to-store to avoid paying a $5.95 shipping fee.
  6. With your 8% cash back, you'll get those 8 pairs of microfiber tights for $30.87, or approximately 45% off the original price of $55.92.  This works out to $3.86 per pair, and these are quality, durable tights.
Excellent deal.  Remember, you can use these discounts to buy any items at Payless.
