Local deal: free day today at the Denver Botanic Gardens and how to enjoy Denver culture on a shoestring
With apologies to my regular readership, this post is for my fellow Coloradoan DailyCheapskate readers. Get free admission today, 1/16/12, at Denver Botanic Gardens (adult admission is normally $12.50). If you have the day off from work in honor of Martin Luther King Day, today would be a great day to spend walking around the beautiful (and warm) greenhouse complex at the Botanic Gardens, which are open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..
There are any number of free events in Colorado at the Denver Art Museum, the Denver Zoo, and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, going on over the course of the year. You can download this very handy schedule that tells you when all of the free days fall out in 2012.
Would you like to watch Denver Center for Performing Arts shows for a song? Be aware that the DCPA releases a limited number of $10 tickets to some of their shows each Tuesday at 10 a.m. Ten seats for every Denver Center Theatre Company performance in the coming week will qualify (up to 25 shows per week). Click here and use promo code SCFD to try and snag those $10 tickets. Limit 4 per person.
