Purchase TurboTax 2014 from Amazon and get 5%-10% more on an Amazon gift card bought with your federal refund

Now that tax season is in full swing, I wanted to make you aware of one two three things regarding Tax Day and Amazon.

Number One: we are now officially 90 days out from the very ominous April 15th, 2014.

Number Two: we are also officially 89 days out from the first evening of Passover. Yes, my friends, Tax Day coincides with the first day of Pesach, which means the first seder is the evening of April 14th.

Stop weeping. It'll be okay. What this means is that you must, absolutely must, deal with your taxes earlier this year.

Number Three: There is a great offer out on TurboTax software called the TurboTax Refund Bonus program:  By purchasing Turbo Tax software exclusively at Amazon.com or TurboTax.com, taxpayers can receive from a 5% to a 10% bonus on top of their federal tax refund when they use some (or all) of their federal refund to purchase an Amazon.com gift card.

Receive an extra 5% with TurboTax Basic, and an extra 10% with TurboTax Deluxe, Premier, and Home & Business.  So, for example, if an Amazon customer uses $500 of their Federal Refund to buy an Amazon gift card, they’ll actually get $525 or $550 (depending on which software they purchased) in Amazon.com Gift Cards.

Here are some of the terms of the offer, but make sure you read up on it fully over here:
  • Use any increment of $100 from your Federal Tax Return to purchase an Amazon.com gift card.
  • Use some (or all) of your federal refund to purchase an Amazon.com Gift Card** and Turbo Tax will tack on a bonus. (**Amazon.com is not a sponsor of this promotion. ) So $500 of Federal Refund could purchase a $550 Amazon.com Gift Card.
  • The remainder of your refund will be deposited to your bank account.
  • As soon as your refund is received, TurboTax will email you your Amazon.com gift card claim code.
  • Receive an extra 5% with TurboTax Basic – So $500 would become $525.
  • Receive an extra 10% with TurboTax Deluxe, Premier, and Home & Business – So $500 would become $550.
  • TurboTax Business is not eligible for this offer.
  • This Amazon.com Gift Card offer is for federal refunds only.
  • Limits apply ($2000 per e-card, maximum $10,000 per customer).
  • Offer available only for TurboTax Online or CD/download versions sold and shipped, or downloaded directly from Intuit or Amazon.
