Planter's cashews, still available on Amazon, still a great deal: $6.23 for 18.25 oz. (beats Costco and Walmart)

I posted this deal on Planters cashews about a week or so ago, but recently I went to Walmart and saw the price on the same canister of Planter's cashews and I was astounded at how much more expensive they were!   (See below for the comparison to both Costco and Walmart pricing.)  While this deal is now 40 cents more than it was last week, if you haven't taken advantage of it yet, grab it while you can.  It's still a terrific price.

Amazon has got this canister of 18.25 oz. Planters Deluxe Whole Cashews for $6.23 shipped, when you stack a high-value 20% off coupon with a Subscribe & Save discount.  $6.23 for an 18.25 oz. canister works out to $5.46 per lb.

So first, "clip" the 20% off coupon.  That's 20% off the pre-discount price of $9.59, so you'll get a flat discount of $1.92, no matter what you end up paying.

Then, here's how the Subscribe & Save pricing works out:

Here's the Walmart price:

  • So, an 18.25 oz. canister at $8.98 works out to be $7.87 per lb. at Walmart.
  • Costco, where I normally buy my nuts at bulk prices, has cashews for $8.00 per lb..

So this Amazon deal, at $5.46 per lb. beats both of these.  Excellent.  Too bad I can only use this 20% coupon once!
