Passover/Pesach Kashrut Agency Online Information and Resources for 2016

       

Here are the updated  Pesach 2016 links to kashrut guides and apps from the three major kashrut agencies, the OU, the Star-K and the CRC.  I recommend you install all three apps on your smartphones, as they can be incredibly helpful when you are shopping for Pesach.

Some new things this year:

1. You can now chat with a OU kashrus specialist and get a more immediate response to your question on this page on the OU website. Click the blue chat icon on the lower right-hand side.  The Star-K also has this feature on their home page.  Look for "Chat with Star-K" in the top center porton of the page.


2. Quinoa now requires special Pesach certification for 2016 according to the OU, but the Star-K is once again allowing Ancient Harvest without any special Passover certification.  The following brands have special OU-P runs:  Earthly Choice Tri-Color Quinoa, Goldbaum's Tricolor Quinoa, Goolbaum White Quinoa, Goolbaum Tri Color Quinoa, La Bonne Quinoa, La Bonne Mediterranean Quinoa, La Bonne Mushrooms & Herbs Quinoa, Natural Earth Products Quinoa, Pereg Red Quinoa, Pereg Quinoa Flour, Pereg White Quinoa, Pereg Tri-Color Quinoa, Setton Quinoa, Streit's Quinoa.


3. Spectrum Organic Coconut Oil now requires special OU-P Pesach certification (in contrast to previous years)
